The sr scientist will have opportunity to design research plans, coordinate tests, analyze and interpret experimental data to provide technical recommendations.
Develop and implement sensory methods for panel and consumer research that strengthen decision making process for new product development, maintenance and/or renovation.
Provide recommendations to R&D and strategic partners based on sensory and consumer research aligned with business strategy by delivering orally and written results.
Analyze and integrate sensory and consumer information with additional sources as physicochemical, process, business and/or product design information in order to give robust recommendations.
Identify opportunity areas and support implementation of continuous improvement processes.
Interaction with sensory and consumer vendors ensuring best practices.
Participation in global sensory task forces to develop, align and implement new protocols.
MS or Ph.D.: Major in Food Science (thesis in Sensory) or Consumer Psychology, with experience in a Sensory & Consumer Research position in a major consumer packaged goods company.
Working knowledge in quantitative and qualitative consumer research
Expert knowledge of discrimination, descriptive and consumer test methods
Working knowledge of market research tools and techniques
Working knowledge of sensory and statistical analysis programs(e.g., Compusense, Xlstat, SenpaQ)
Ability to apply experimental design and multivariate statistics to sensory research
Ability to independently lead and manage multiple projects
Ability to interpret complex data and relate impact on the business
