Responsible for leading efforts involved in Product Formulation/Sensory and Innovation, contributing to the profitability and sales growth of SAMCAM BR region.
 
Initiates, evaluates plans, directs, prioritizes, executes, implements and reports on activities related to the development of new products such as product concept review, ingredient selection, development of new flavors and fragrances, sensory tests, laboratory tests and product performance evaluation, as well as improvements, working closely with Corporate functional heads.
 
This position carries with it the responsibility to mentor team members and promote growth of their capabilities for contributing to the organization while coordinating and managing the efforts of the R&D team.
TO DO 
• Responsible for leading efforts involved in Product Formulation/Sensory and Innovation, contributing to the profitability and sales growth of SAMCAM BR region.
• Initiates, evaluates plans, directs, prioritizes, executes, implements and reports on activities related to the development of new products such as product concept review, ingredient selection, development of new flavors and fragrances, sensory tests, laboratory tests and product performance evaluation, as well as improvements, working closely with Corporate functional heads.
• Responsible to mentor team members and promote growth of their capabilities for contributing to the organization, while manage possible conflicts and monitor team metrics and objectives to ensure goals accomplishment
• Establish technical guidelines to develop new products, new material suppliers and to perform sensory trials aligned with corporate RD, in order to guarantee all products are tested locally along the region before launch
• Establish technical briefing for new products under concept provided and developed together with Product Marketing department, propose technical basis for functional benefits, concept of flavors/fragrances and nutritional requirements
• Promote Innovation in R&D with new benefits, ingredients and formats, according to corporate guidelines and business strategy
• Establish technical training to Consultant as part of the business strategy plan
• Support Scientific Affairs, Project Management, R&D Tech Ops, GRA, QA and other areas, with technical information as requested
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Food / Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Nutrition or related areas)
  • English and Spanish Fluent
  • Post-graduation(Food / Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Nutrition or related areas)
  • MBA in Management or Business
  • 10 to 12 years’ experience in Nutritional, Food , Skincare or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong performance in People Management and Leadership
  • Ability use of MS Office
  • Broad experience base in functional areas that interact with R&D such as QA, QC, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain

Strong and timely results orientation and collaborative strategy setting with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to contribute approaches and solutions to daily operational and long range planning concerns of senior management
