We have an opportunity for a Sr. Ingredient Specialist (Dairy),  South America Ingredients Solutions (Mogi Guaçu – Brazil) . This role is responsible for:Business
• Lead new project development projects of defined scope
• Independently (in close alignment with manager) support internal clients (Business area from all affiliates) in application and customers visit to the center;
• Independently (in close alignment with manager and affiliate business team) Support customer projects and trials including trials at customers facilities
• Responsible for Dairy pilot facility including maintenance (including preventative) of equipment in the Pilot Plant
• Understand and operate equipment, and guides the team how they operate them,
• Lead dairy efforts in customer innovation events
• Coordinates the agenda of the pilot plant
Agility and Innovation
• Lead projects for the development of new ingredients, new applications, and new capabilities for the Dairy segment with regional and Global scope
• Focus applications and new developments on innovative solutions.
• Understand and use Ingredion capabilities that enable project and customer success (e.g. Sensory, Rheology and Culinology) – according to the Dairy business strategy.
• Provide leadership and support for internal innovation events
• Identify and develop new capability and techniques for the Dairy segment
Relationships and People
• Lead training for internal teams and customers
• Develop and deliver requested samples to support trade shows
• Provide technical leadership in regional segment workgroup activities
• Explore available network
• Support regulatory affairs demand with technical insight
• Ensures up-to-date Dairy regulatory information for the team
• Ensure Operational Procedures updated.
• Standardize methods
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
• Chemical or Food Technician/Technologist/ Engineer or related academic degree,
• Postgraduate or specialization courses related to the area
• Basic knowledge of conducting day to laboratory work, equipment maintenance and related support with track record of safety and quality
• Work experience in the food industry or related ingredients suppliers (around 10 years), Including project management, equipment operation and maintenance, knowledge in analysis and interpretation of results
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Fluent Portuguese (written and oral) and English
• Intermediate Spanish
