CORE RESPONSABILITIES

  • Responsible for the leadership and application technical execution of the Sugar Reduction Platform and Special Sweeteners applications development projects and initiatives in South America, alignment with the global team
  • Direct work with applications in laboratories and pilot plants, from theoretical studies to execution, evaluation and reporting of results for Sugar Reduction solutions
  • Development and research of solutions for the Ingredion portfolio, leveraging business growth opportunities through differentiated value propositions (including Ingredion and non-Ingredion portfolios), working in synergy with the ingredient’s development team
  • Development and validation of application performance and value proposition of Sugar Reduction Platform solutions, working in synergy with the category’s applications teams
  • Application support to Go-to-market teams in projects and customer demands related to Sugar Reduction Platform solutions, for the different areas of activity of the company such as Dairy, Bakery and Beverages
  • Promotion of training and continuous development of technical teams in the Sweeteners portfolio
  • Ensuring the management of technical information related to the portfolio of Sugar Reduction Platform solutions and internal projects
  • Conducting technical trials in lab and pilot plant scale, schedule and execute technical studies, reports and presentations for internal and external customers seeking business growth and leveraging Ingredion’s capabilities as a Sugar Reduction solutions provider and strategic innovation partner
  • Technical alignment of global and regional strategies
  • Sharing technical knowledge among Ingredion affiliates

QUALIFICATED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • Technical Graduation: Food/Chemical Engineering or others related areas
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food applications with sugar reduction targets
  • Sweeteners solid knowledge and experience for food and beverages formulations
  • Knowledge and experience of sensory evaluations focused on sweeteners and reduced sugar formulas
  • Experience in experimental design, statistical analysis and interpretation of results
  • Practical experience in applications and pilot plants, analytical equipment and laboratory routine management
  • Verbal and written technical communication skills to make presentations, write technical reports and plans
  • Advanced technical English for evaluation and preparation of documents, presentations, meetings and interactions with the global team
  • Intermediate Spanish for presentations and meetings with South American teams and customers
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP and statistical software
  • Ability to build & foster relationships with business leaders
  • Influences decisions to produce positive business outcomes with technical insights
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work across multiple levels of the enterprise
  • Demonstrates consulting agility
  • Demonstrate digital awareness and analytics understanding
  • Demonstrates innovative and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrates visionary leadership
