WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
This role drives the region development and commercialization of sustainably advantaged materials for use in Snacks and Foods products in support of PepsiCo goals and commitments. They partner with Global Procurement, LATAM Region Packaging R&D and Global Foods Packaging to set the materials agenda. They will also lead materials productivity for regional AOP and SBP time frames while collaborating with their Region teams to deliver capability, specification and quality resources to ensure flawless technology transfer and execution of global innovation.
- Develop and commercialize sustainable films that meet both the required performance requirements and end of life alternatives to comply with PepsiCo commitments.
- Partner with Global Procurement Flex Category COE’s to drive both SGP productivity agenda and supplier capabilities to meet category innovation strategy
- Collaborate with and influence Packaging leaders to develop and select structures that meet the needs for unique formats to deliver the required performance properties for specific products in order to maintain brand quality requirements including shelf life and consumer satisfiers
- Develop and validate region-specific proof of commercial viability and partner with region Packaging teams to develop deployment strategy for lead market commercialization
- Lead technology transfer of all documentation and specifications to enable efficient region implementation
- Coordinate and manage Global Packaging material issues and opportunities (compliance, specification changes, etc.) and serve as the Packaging liaison to Global Procurement
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree in related areas
- Deep subject expertise in PE and OPP film manufacturing and film design and attributes
- Knowledge of the industy and the competitive landscape within the region to identify potential partners for future development and assess capability
- Familiarity in the different polymer resins used in packaging and the local suppliers
- Subject matter expertise in printing and converting
- Continuous improvement/productivity driven
- English/Spanish is required
