CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support, expedite the developments, leverage successful experiences and disseminate knowledge of ingredient application technology related to ingredients for the segment market throughout the South America affiliates. This professional will work in close collaboration with marketing, sales, analytical and regulatory support areas of the affiliates and also from corporate.
- Direct work with applications in laboratories and pilot plants, from theoretical studies to execution, evaluation and reporting of results for Bakery, Snacks and Human Nutritionsegments.
- Development and research of solutions for the Ingredion portfolio, leveraging business growth opportunities through differentiated value propositions (including Ingredion and non-Ingredion portfolios), working in synergy with the ingredient’s development team.
- Application support to Go-to-market teams in projects and customer demands related to Bakery, Snacks and Human Nutritionsegments.
- Promotion of training and continuous development of technical teams in the related applications.
- Conducting technical trials in lab and pilot plant scale, schedule and execute technical studies, reports and presentations for internal and external customers seeking business growth and leveraging Ingredion’s capabilities as solutions provider and strategic innovation partner in the related segments.
- Technical alignment of global and regional strategies.
- Sharing technical knowledge among Ingredion affiliates.
- Support for managing and maintaining the Innovation Center’s sample bank, as well as sending samples and prototypes to external customers.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
- Technical Graduation: Food/Chemical Engineering or others related areas
- Solid experience in food application
- Practical experience in applications and pilot plants, analytical equipment and laboratory routine management.
- Knowledge of conducting day to day laboratory work, equipment maintenance and related support with track record of safety and quality
- Ability to organize (planning of activities, organization of the laboratory, time management)
- Verbal and written technical communication skills to make presentations, write technical reports and plans
- Advanced technical English for evaluation and preparation of documents, presentations, meetings and interactions with the global team
- Basic Spanish for presentations and meetings with South American teams and customers
- Proficiency in digital tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP and statistical software
- Ability to build & foster relationships with peers
- Demonstrate digital awareness and analytics understanding
- Demonstrates innovative and strategic thinking
